In my daily reading, I came across Daniel Weintraub's piece in the Sacramento Bee about Democratic State Senate Leader Don Perata's take on education reform. It was a very interesting article.

Given his recent comments on reforming proposition 98 and now this general agreement with the Governor and Secretary Riordan on giving more local control to local administrators, it makes me wonder if he's going to change parties. This is only going to insense the CTA further.

Right on Don! I just hope he has the guts to keep saying what he believes and that he doesn't fold under the pressure from CTA and other special interests.
