The Family of Dave is on the road. Right now, we're in Rigby, Idaho visiting with some friends who used to live in Ukiah. We've been having a really fun time. I was going through Internet withdrawal. I had my iPhone and while I can do email and even browse the web, the screen is pretty small.

The other option is standing in my friend's kitchen where you can reach the next door neighbor's Wifi. There are really only two places in the kitchen where that works and neither of them is really very comfortable.

Just before I left, I bought an Internet access card that fit my computer, but it wasn't going to arrive before I left, so I had it shipped Idaho. It arrived yesterday and now I'm back online. I'm actually kind of impressed with the speed of Verizon's network for data. It is pretty fast. I guess what I'm used to is tethering off my old Treo 650, which was barely at dial-up modem speeds.

Anyway, it is good to be back to a more normal level of Internet access. It will make the vacation just that much sweeter.
