We're quarantined!
Last Sunday my wife came down with the flu very rapidly. She felt a little bad Saturday night, but by Sunday evening she was miserable. She saw the doctor on Tuesday. The doctor was pretty confident it is H1N1 but submitted the test anyway. She prescribed tamiflu.
By Thursday, I was coughing and had a headache. I figured it was either psychosomatic or I had it too. I went in to see the doctor. I got Tamiflu. Grace's cough was still pretty bad. She has lung issues, so she gets bad coughs in a normal winter anyway. So, Grace got a confirmation of H1N1, a chest x-ray and some antibiotics to add to the Tamiflu to beat back whatever is in her lungs.
She's feeling dramatically better today. So far, I haven't felt really bad, but I'm glad to have the Tamiflu. Better safe than sorry. Hopefully, we'll all be back to normal this week some time.
