iPhoneSimFree.com had announced that they have created a software-only unlock for the Apple iPhone. It looks like it could well be true. Engadget has confirmed the announcement and even has a video what it looks like. If this is true, iPhone owners will be able to utilize the iPhone on any GSM network.

They're not yet selling the software, but their web site says they'll be selling individual user licenses for the software next week. It looks like there is now hope for you those T-mobile or Edge Wireless customers waiting for an iPhone solution.
